Welcome

Shifting Midnight is an up and coming rock band that hails from Mobile, AL. Featuring Kevin and Andy who met as coworkers after Kevin moved down from his lifelong home in Northern Virginia. Andy has been living in the area for 4 years now and moved here from Louisiana playing in a local band there.

The two have just recently started to play around the Mobile area at various gigs, playing an assortment of originals and their favorite cover songs. Whether it's an all acoustic song, or a rock-out-with-your-guitar out featuring electrics, the two try to mix things up some, and get the crowd into the music.

It doesn't get much better!

Seen here rocking out at the Seven Club on Joachim Street in Beautiful downtown Mobile, Kevin and I enjoy playing good music, drinking heavily, and entertaining. We're working on a gig schedule now from bars ranging from South Carolina to Louisiana to of course our stomping grounds here in South Alabama. Check back regularly for dates/places/times.

July 4th Weekend 2008

Shifting Midnight rocked the late shift at Club Seven again in beautiful downtown Mobile on Saturday July 5th. We hit the stage at 11 p.m. and played hard until a little after 3 a.m. Nice bar with a great atmosphere. The drinks were stout and the crowd was rockin. A great venue for us and we hope to be back soon. Here's a few pics of us at the show.

Club Seven in Mobile

On 4-19-08 Kevin played at Club Seven in Mobile solo. Andy wasn't able to make it so Kev played without any backup. Good job Kev. Here's Kevin's comment from the gig.

"Back from an amazing gig, I simply can't wait to play more! The ever-healthy addiction of playing live is in full swing after 4 hours of stage time at Club Seven's outdoor courtyard (Tiki Bar). It came off with a slow start, but by the second set, the crowd was active, and accumulating into a full seated section, a full bar, and even a full balcony - and EVERYONE sang along at one point or another! We had a bachelorette party led by the wild Victoria (I hope May 3rd goes well, if you read this!), one guy who bought two full racks of test-tube shooters (thanks, bud), and people dancing along with the slow songs. Requests were made - some were fulfilled, haha, and we had a great time.

I can't wait to play back at Club Seven, hopefully next time with a rhythm guitarist *cough Andy cough* and with a crowd just as large, active, and amazing! I'm also excited to see what other venues in downtown Mobile have, as well as places along the causeway, and other local hotspots. New music is coming, and we'll be showcasing that as well!

Thanks Everbody!"

Chillin with Rock Stars

Here recently Kevin got to go see Yellowcard and Secondhand Serenade at the House of Blues in New Orleans. Great Bands at a spectacular venue. And to top it off he got to drink beers and chill on the Tour Bus with the guys from both bands. Here's a pic of Kevin with John Vesely from Secon Hand Serenade and Sean Mackin from Yellowcard. Sweet Deal Kevo. Rock On!
