Welcome

It's in the works!

A lot of our fans (Both of them) have asked when we're going to add something to the jukebox or when we're playing our next gig. Well we're working hard with quite a few new originals. And I would love to post them right now but I want to make sure we don't rush it and give you a good tune to listen too. Be patient. And when we schedule our next gig I will definatley post it here. Check back regularly!

Website security!

OK, the website security with registration has been improved. We've had some recent issues with spam. Didn't realize we were important enough to catch spam. But I've improved registration security with email confirmation, COPPA, and a few other things. Hope this helps.

The Loudness War!

Well with the release of Metallica's new album "Death Magnetic", the loudness war rages on.

The war needs your assistance!

I'm sure you've read or heard about the "Loudness War". Well, this subject has gone nuclear. Metallica fans *****ed loud and long enough to get major media outlets involved.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/soun...ica-album.html

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122228767729272339.html

and the list goes on....anyways

One radio station in Australia has gone so far as to play the GH3 rips instead of the original CD.

Some of the more vocal people from the Metallica BB have put their money where their mouths are and started a website/forum focused on the loudness war and what it's doing to music. It's barely over a day online and it is getting a rave response. This is where you guys come in.

Please stop in and register for the site. Posting a few times would be EVEN BETTER!! They allready have some music industry people working with them in the shadows and they plan to blow this up as big as possible. Even if nothing changes, they want to educate the public about this issue. I wasn't as aware of it till Death Magnetic came out and a good friend brought it up (Thanks Scott).

Stop by and register. They would GREATLY appreciate it. Also, post the link on any music related site you visit. (Done Scott). They need all the help they can get.

www.musicquality.org (that is a temporary name)

One last thing. This not just about Metallica. This is directed at the music industry as a whole because it effects ALL genres of music. Just look at the wikipedia entries for albums effected by over compression and a detailed explanation of what it is.

THANKS GUYS!!!

&%$* The Police!

Well, on a cool Monday night, when the band decided to practice, the A/C was out so the window was cracked open a tad. And at 9:10 the band got a visit from the fuzz. 5.O. was there to put a stop to the music. The man put his foot on our neck and the tunes were shut down for the night.

IT'S A LONG WAY TO THE TOP, IF YOU WANNA ROCK-N-ROLL!

Official Band Picks - 1st Shift12 symbol

Well, our official picks are being made by the fantastic crew at In-Tune Guitar Picks in VA. Andy and I have finalized the band symbol as well as the "banner format." They both appear on the picks - if anyone is interested in getting some, shoot us a message, and we can arrange that, I'm sure.

Another Fun Few at the Bay House 8-14-08

Went out on a school night again where Jon Maddox usually rocks the Bay House. Jon Gratiously lets us bogard his gear for a few songs. Our gratious 3 song set somehow lasts 30 minutes, LMFAO, sorry Jon, but we had a great time.
Took us like 16 measures before we remembered the first words to Alabamalace, Ahhh, feaux paw!!
Can't remember much after the set, but their are some additional interesting pictures that I see myself in but think. Was that me! LOL!

Kevin was out on 7-24-08 runnin the local scene at the Bay House where Jon Maddox was playing. Jon let Kevin jump up and do a few songs with a guitarist Jimbo and drummer Clay and rocked out a few songs. That's the crap you love to see on a work week night. Local bands/musicians just ****ing around and having a good time.
